Our school is situated in a former Methodist Chapel near the centre of the market town of Skipton - the Gateway to the Dales. Despite being in an old building and on a steep hill with the classrooms on many different levels, we feel the school is bright, warm and welcoming for our pupils, their parents and the community.

            All the staff work hard to provide a caring and supportive atmosphere where children are encouraged to be self-disciplined, creative and motivated to produce a high standard of achievement in all areas of the curriculum. We want pupils to develop confidence and pleasure in learning, to acquire and build upon the basic tools of literacy and numeracy, and to evolve the personal positive attitudes of respect for others, responsibility, self-reliance and co-operation. A tall order to live up to, but we all recognise the importance of the right start and a strong foundation for a successful school life.
